Like many of my esteemed colleagues that have the knowledge and skills to create, develop and manage world-class brands, we rarely take the time to brand ourselves.
I believe this phenomena is caused by the lack of time that most executives will dedicate to their personal brand because of their commitment to their professional work.
Most marketing executives are great at setting goals and leading the teams to develop and execute great strategies. It is another thing entirely to role up your sleeves and actually do the work that you lead teams to do.
Today the tactics are much more technical than even five years ago. It is one thing to set goals for a web site, know who it is supposed to target, how it should look and what it should do. Building and coding sites is not something most marketing executives actually know how to do. Neither do I. And for my personal artistry...let me say that my stick figures are awesome.
Brand Stumbling will capture the learnings of walking my brand.
